Healing is multifaceted. I personally find Reiki to be such an integral part of my healing journey and I enjoy combining it with other healing modalities, like body work, talk therapy, affirmations, sound therapy, and vibroacoustic therapy, to name just a few.
A part of our own healing is to recognize negative thought patterns that are keeping us stuck in limiting beliefs. Another part of our own healing is to actually take action to change those negative thought patterns. This in no way means seeing things from a toxic and unhelpful Pollyanna perspective. However, making the shift out of constant negativity into realistic positivity is extremely helpful for us emotionally, mentally, physically, and energetically. With this in mind, I’ve collected some of my favorite “happy thoughts” that have helped me through the years with the hopes that they help you, too.
Whenever you feel trapped by your own negative thoughts, read the phrases below and focus on the one or two that resonate with you. Repeat them in the morning, at noon, and before bed. Continue to repeat them until they feel like facts to you. I always tell friends and clients, look at it this way: when someone asks you what color the grass is and you say green, you say it with such authority. You know without a doubt that the color of the grass is green. Similarly, continue to say the phrases until you know without a doubt that whatever you are saying is the absolute truth. Once you get to this point, the negative thought pattern that once existed has no chance of returning. Try these happy thoughts and let me know what you think.
· I am capable.
· My life is good.
· I believe in myself.
· I approve of myself.
· I am such a lucky person.
· My life is filled with love.
· My life is filled with purpose.
· I am grateful for my many blessings.
· I accept myself wholly and completely.
· There is so much goodness in my life.
· Everything is always working out for me.
· I am a sovereign being. I control my own life.
· I am lovable. I matter. People care about me.
· I am capable of reaching my highest potential.
· I am worthy of _____________ (fill in the blank).
· I trust myself to make the right decisions for me.
· I make good decisions for myself and for my life.
· I am much stronger than I think I am. I can do this.
· I am so lucky to have loving relationships in my life.
· It is safe to treat myself with love and kindness. I deserve it.
· My path is unfolding before me perfectly and in Divine order.
· I have always done my best and I will continue to do my best.
· I love showing my humanity. It is OK to show my humanity. It is what makes me me.
· Life is constantly changing and this chapter of my life is no different. This, too, shall pass.
· I have accomplished so much in my life and I’m excited to see what other wonderful accomplishments I have yet to experience.
· My broken parts are my strength. They add to my complexity, my beauty, and my humanity.
· My healed parts are my strength. They add to my complexity, my beauty, and my humanity.
